Location Info
Longing for sunshine? Then head over to the South District! This part of Gibraltar is fantastically laid back and away from all the hustle and bustle. It still hosts numerous popular tourist attractions such as the Trinity Lighthouse at Europa Point. From here you can also admire the views across the Straits, especially on a clear day when you can catch sight of both Spain and Morocco. Additionally Europa Point features The Mosque, Shrine of our Lady of Europe, Harding's Battery and the Sikorski Memorial.
Other areas of interest in the South District include Alameda Botanical Gardens (stunning flora & fauna, an open air theatre, and an ideal wedding venue), the Cable Car which can take you sightseeing up the Rock, New Harbours Industrial Estate, and for beachgoers there is Camp Bay (commonly known as Rosia) and Little Bay. Both are extremely popular with tourists and locals alike, seeing as they provide restaurants, kiosks, salt water swimming pools, as well as easy access to the sea for bathing.
A lot of the properties in this area have wonderful views across the Bay of Gibraltar, ranging from developments such as Admiral's Close, Vineyard's, Brympton and Clifftop House.
